OUR TEAM

Sheryl Quock

Throughout my education, I often found myself needing different ways to learn that were unconventional. I pushed myself to succeed across all academic subjects and in doing so found creative, individual ways to learn. I love using creative problem solving to help students realize how intelligent and special they are, and how FUN learning can be.

I graduated with honors from Cornell University with a degree in Applied Economics in 2015, but my academic interests span from Greek Mythology to Business Law to Visual Arts to Game Theory! After Cornell, I went on to work at Google until my passion for improving education led me to work with youth.

I am passionate about learning, and I find spreading the joy of learning to be profoundly meaningful. I deeply believe in Lemon Tree Learning's philosophy that it's never about if a student can succeed, but rather how we can help them... I'm here to help!

I love tutoring because I genuinely believe education is exciting, and it gives me a hand in creating a new generation of critical thinkers, who are sorely needed in the world.

I have been tutoring for ten years while earning a BFA from NYU Tisch and an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature at Stony Brook University. I love the short essay form, with my personal stories appearing in various literary and national magazines, as well as anthologies.

I am also a playwright, with readings and performances produced in venues around NYC and Los Angeles. A fan of existential literature, comic books, and candid reality shows, I'm always hungry for any story with unique characters, unconventional structure, and incisive commentary on the human condition.
